Another old-timer here. I’ve been around for about four-and-a-half years now and have been a co-moderator in the Pioneer forum for three years this month. I’m one of the many Minnesotans who frequent this site and actually had a little get-together for fellow AKers at my place last fall. I think about 14 locals showed up, and I thought that was a pretty good turn-out for a one day deal. I don’t know about anyone else, but I had a blast. I’ve also been to the last three AK Fests in Detroit and had even more fun there.

My main living room system consists of the following:

Pioneer SPEC 1 (rebuilt by EchoWars)
Pioneer SPEC 2 (rebuilt by EchoWars)
Harman Kardon DVD 47 (SACD, etc.)
Thiel CS3.6 Speakers

My main family room system consists of the following:

Pioneer SPEC 1 (rebuilt by EchoWars)
Pioneer SPEC 2 (rebuilt by EchoWars)
Pioneer SPEC 2 (rebuilt by EchoWars)
Pioneer SF-850 2/3 Way Crossover (for bi-amping)
Pioneer TX-9500II Tuner
Pioneer SG-9500 Equalizer
Pioneer DV-45A (DVD w/SACD etc.)
Teledyne Acoustic Research AR-9 Speakers

My living room HT set up consists of the following:

Onkyo TX-DS787 6.1 Channel HT Receiver
Sony 300 Disc CD Changer
Sony DVD Player
Sony 36” Trinitron Flat Screen TV
(6) Pioneer HPM 100 Speakers
JBL PB-10 150 Watt Floor-Firing Subwoofer

Well that’s about it for me, welcome to Audio Karma, the greatest audio website in the world.

Yep, Rob, safe and sound down here in Owatonna, about 70 miles straight south of that bridge.

By the way, you should have that package today I think. :D

Greg, I see that those AR-9s earned a spot in the family room. I bet you can rock the house down with that setup!

Joyce,
Those were always down in the family room, just waiting for me to get the damn woofers refoamed, which took way too long. They are getting comfortably broken in now and are sounding awesome.

If there is one single reason I got started with vintage gear plus a life here on AK it has to be RetroStereo. . .

One of the very first pieces I ever bought came from this guy. You know it was as nice as you could find anywhere too. I remember his auctions. Great pictures, great descriptions. I used to seek them out just to look at the pictures..

Greg helped me to get started in my life as a Vintage Pioneer fan. This collector had them all and was a nice guy too.

I'm still looking for the picture of your 50 and 80 series receiver stacks. I think it is posted in AK's gallery though. . .

There are a few good guys here Greg is one of those.

Hey Greg! I was thinking this was a old thread until I opened it up.

Nice to get to know you over the past few years. You serve up a mean burger along with a healthy dose of vintage Pioneer :thmbsp:

By the way, I still have your tuna sitting in the rack if you still want it. That along with the CD I promised you.

Hey Ron,
I thought Gary would be heading my way someday?
Otherwise, just let me know if you want to meet up somewhere in the near future. With the traveling basketball season over, my schedule is pretty much open on the weekends now.
