Hi All,
I am fairly new here, I am 53 and an aircraft quality control inspector by trade, been working in aerospace since my days in the USN, starting in 1972.
I listened to and loved the live music from the late 60's, I saw groups such as Led Zepplin, Savoy Brown, Grand Funk and a host of others at concerts and festivals all over the place. While in the Navy I spent most of my time in SE Asia and had a choice of either a motorcycle or stereo due to the $ we got paid in those days, I chose a Yamaha and got an all in one Panasonic set that did everything but nothing very well...
After I came home and was working where I am now I bought a set of Kenwood seperates, a significant upgrade from the Panasonic but after a couple years it started to blow the left channel annually.
After the third time that happened I took the amp out in the garage and applied a ball pein hammer to it and remembered the Sansui gear some of my buddies got back in the early to mid 70's.
My first was a lowly 210 receiver, and that's where it all began, I now have about 200 pieces of Sansui gear.
My girlfriend Karen and I live in a small rambler near a lake, she's a budding silversmith and we have a garden, I love German Shepherd dogs and my buddy Max watches the place when I'm gone...
I got to AK by looking for some replacement tweets for a set of SP 300 speakers, lurked for a little while and never looked back.

Should'a stayed brand-loyal and gotten TWO Yamahas. ;)

Hi Casey, you will be glad to know the 7070 is singing like a bird and the case is in process of getting a new Pecan dress.

Thank you for the praise, I do enjoy helping others where I can, it's a selfish thing, I enjoy the feeling I get when I can help others thru a problem.
AK is easily my favorite place on the net, I have learned so much here, and met some marvelous folks.
