Hey, my name is Jack. if it wasnt for Dave, I would be driving my long lost BMW M5 by now.

I started in audio, just to have something to listen to....Once I joined Dnewman's universe of caraudio, and worked out of my car, I figured I spend my money in car stereo instead. And I had a nice system if i may say: started with Bose and Adcom...went thru some recievers, and ended up with Musical Design monoblocks, preamp, my trusty Parasound CDP-2000 and most awesome Pinnacle Classic Gold Aerogel speakers....well, it all went bye bye for my McIntosh, Alpine, Scan Speak, Lambda Acoustics system.

Then, I dont even remember how I found this here site...maybe looking at some McIntosh info.

so in any case, as people here know, I relish getting stuff and getting rid of it to try something else...I dont think I even know whats the best sound I want, I just hate not knowing what something I have an interest sounds like.

Thru my hands in the past few years, the following tried to woo me:
Amps: Adcom 5500, Kinergetics Chiro C200, McIntosh Mc250, Musical Design D75 in stereo and monoblocks, Lazarus H-1A, Altec-bastards handmade 6550's monoblocks from Russman, Berning EA-230, Berning EA-2101, McIntosh Mc40's, Mc240, Mc275 MKIV, Bottlehead Paramours 2A3 SET, Allen Stereo 40 or 20 (I forget), Ampex EL34 monoblocks, some rarest Gott EL34 mono's, Bel Canto 845 SET monos, Hadley 622 SS amp...If someone remembers something I dont, add it on.

Preamps: Not that many: Musical Design SP-2B, Adcom GTP-450, McIntosh C-20, Berning TF-10 (2 of em), Promitheus TVC/

Speakers: Wharfedale Opus something, Bose 901, Pinnacle Classic Gold Aerogel, Mission 752 and 754, JBL L-96 (twice), EV12trxb, Tannoy DMT 12, Bozak Concert Grands, Odyssey Loreleis, Quad ESL-63, Tannoy Monitor Gold 12's, PAudio coaxes, Tannoy HPD385..i think thats it.

CDplayer, only Parasound CDP-2000, CDP-1000, Sony SCD-777es.

TT's: Thorens 160, some Akai model, VPI Scout, Thorens TD-124 MKII, Technics SP-10 gen 1, Technics SP-10 MKII, Technics SL1300.

I moved about 25 times in my life thru countless countries, thru the USA, only need to live in the moon to be complete.

LOL...cool nuns...!

I see many include the music they listen to so I will do the same:

mainly in my old age: classica, especially cello, lute, guitar, small string ensemble, and with PMSUMMER's watchful eyes, some vocal music.

Rock: mainly Yes, King Crimson, multistyle guitarrists like Steve Howe, Hackett, Mike Olfield, Allan Holdsworth, Adrian Belew....

Some Jazz, mainly stuff like Bill Bruford Earthworks....

I am getting into some female vocalists like Maia Sharp, Judith Owen, Deborah Holland..

Nice intro, white. Looking forward to meeting you!

Dusty, I am reminded of the Lady Newscaster interviewing folks as they walked by on the streets, an informal survey regarding men's undergarments. As each Man walked by, she inquired "Boxers or Briefs?"

Responding to the question, an elderly gentleman answered "Depends... "
