My name is Rob.... I'm an audioholic for sure. There is no hope for me now. I bring home all the unwanted vintage stuff I can find, and now my place is a mess. I was into the the electronic stuff as a kid, but chose a more industrial/scientific path for work. I am 38 and currently working as a lab supervisor for one of the largest manufacturers in the world. It is a contract job, so I don't make the money other people do in the line of work I do, but my various job skills and experience make me a good fit for the job, as it requires a lot of broad skills to make the lab function. I enjoy it immensely
I was referred to this site by Mitsuman, one of my suppliers. He is a great dude and somehow he took a liking to me from the moment we met. Since then I've met a handful of midwest AKer's, all of whom I hope to see again soon.

I was always a fan of the 70's build quality, and just a year ago figured out that these units are still out there, going strong thirty years later. So now I want to learn how to repair these bastions of innovation an quality. Thanks to AK, I've learned alot and actually have helped out a member or two, but not giving anywhere near to them as they have given me. Since joining AK, I have set up system for my GF, both of her children, and soon her eldest brother. And my personal systems are much improved as well.

I also collect Harvey Bros/Warner brothers glasses offered by the fast food restaurants from the seventies (PEPSI). They still hold up after all these years and l admire the quality of the applique and youthfulness of this hobby.

I also collect real parts off of NASCAR cars. Kids just are in awe that I have tires and front clips and such off of these cars. Adults think I'm just plain crazy.

I should probably add that my avatar is just nicely done and a tribute to the shows of the past. Loved Lindsay Wagner and Farrah. I have three wonderful children and a lovely girflriend with two children. She is also a supplier of mine, but we got together because we live down the street from each other. She took over the account before we became an item.

Nice to know you, Rob! :music: I also collect real parts off of NASCAR cars. Kids just are in awe that I have tires and front clips and such off of these cars. Adults think I'm just plain crazy. I worked on the INEX magazine for about 18 issues, got to hang around the pits and shoot for the mag on occasion. Off camera, most of the NASCAR guys are great people!
