My name is Jordan and I hail from San Diego. I'm a youngin here at only 24. Since I was little I've always had a love for things of old. I've actively collected vintage televisions and stereo equipment since about the age of 13.

I joined the site in 2005 when I found my first tube score -a scott 233. After the warm welcome and generous help from others, I stuck around and AK has become a part of my daily life. I decided to take courses in electronics during my time in college to further my knowledge --which has helped me greatly in fixing these wonderful things.

I'm no longer the regular post whore I used to be thanks to AK. Member Fred Longworth, who owns a stereo repair shop in san diego, found me through AK and my craigslist postings. I was able to meet him in person and he gave me a job as a technician. So not only can I do what I love, I get an incredible learning experience and some money while I'm at it!

It has been a great pleasure in getting to know my AK brethren. I have had the opportunity to meet many of you in person, and it was all the better. YOu will never find a more hospitable group of people then the people here.

I hope AK sticks around for awhile. I know I will definitely not be going anywhere.

cheers :beerchug:

One of these days MiMi may surprise you and Fred:) I was just out to Escondido a week or so back due to my mother being sick. I had a great plane ticket / rental car deal... I flew out of Montgomery and the nice lady at the ticket counter pointed out that my drivers license had expired last month:( Got out, but no rental car in SD as no license... So was tied to the brother... Next time...

Jordan and Fred are both quality guys. I enjoyed meeting them over in Fred's shop when I took my 1st piece of vintage gear in for repair. We are lucky to have them working for the cause here in San Diego.
