my madness started many many years ago with my dads gift of his old tube console to me he was trying out that new fangled S.S. stereo console. What a trip he set me off on early on it was a Marantz 2015 that caught my eye those pretty blue lights , next a Sansui 9090 and the quest for real POWER was ignited Nakamichi's,SAE, Crown then i feel in love with the "natural sound" of a Yamaha A1 intergrated then the m-80's and the rest is history since then i have owned or still own something with every letter of the alphabet that Yamaha has built silly thing is i found this site looking for info on a pair of Pioneer Hpm speakers i love the working class mentality here on the "all audio no attitude" here on AK thank you everyone for everything look forward to many more years of enjoyment here

Had one of those A-1 integrateds for near about 20 years and all that happened was a lamp burnt out after 18-1/2 years. Before I sold it I checked all the adjustments - everything was still within spec.

Just ignore the peanut gallery up there, Yamahammer - you can punctuate as much or as little as you like. Anybody that goes for Yamaha is OK with me. :thmbsp:

Nice to have another AK'er in the area!
