I'm sorta new to the forum, don't have much to say most of the time. I was taught it's better to remain silent and have people think you're a fool than speak and remove all doubt.
I started in hifi back when I was in high school, 1970-ish, with a pair of Infinity Transmission Line something or others, the ones with the Walsh tweeter. Back in the day it was getting that upper octave that made the stereo for me.
Took a big turn one day when I heard a pair of Klipschorns at a party.... they were playing Flim and the BBs first album, of course on a turntable, think it was a B&O tangential tracker with that lovely B&O cartridge... tracks like ugly on an ape at 1(!) gram.
Anyway, here I am now with the same Klipschorns I bought back in '79, after going through many merry-go-round rides with amps, preamps, cd players, turntables etc.
Pretty much just 'enjoy the music' as of late, no real ambitions to augment the stereo.
I guess I shouldn't say that, I'm starting to think of a second stereo in the living room (the big rig is in the basement).... already collecting bits and pieces to make it so.
