I now have several CDs from the 20th Century Masters The Millennium Series.
All the CDs I have from this series seem quite well remastered.
Anyone else find this to be true? If so, I may look for others in the series.

I own a few of the Millennium Series -
The Grass Roots
Smokey Robinson and the Miracles
Steppenwolf
The Temptations
And have listened to several others. My experience is that they are hit or miss, some are halfway decent, but most all suffer from over compression and have been no-noised to the extreme. Some are downright painful to listen to. Unless your looking for a particular song that you can't find any other way - I would pass these by.

I only own one - A Muddy Waters collection. I was disappointed in the quality of mine. Maybe I was just unlucky. But I haven't bought anymore. My local library has a bunch of them though. Perhaps I'll check them out for comparison.

Thanks for the inputs!
Mayhaps I just lucked out on the ones I got. Although I will not remove them from consideration, I will not go out of my way to get them either.
