In the past two weeks I've stumbled on two different batches of Laserdiscs here locally. All are in excellent condition, and were picked up very inexpensively. Here's what I've added to my collection:
Pink Floyd - Live in Pompeii
Pink Floyd in concert - Delicate Sound of Thunder
Pink Floyd - The Wall
(I'm not a P.F. fan, but figured I'd find someone who was)
Road Warrior (Mel Gibson)
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Alien - Box Set
Star Trek II - Wrath of Khan
James Bond - Goldfinger (Criterion Collection)
2001 A Space Odyssey (Criterion Collection)
Blade Runner (Criterion Collection)
Blade Runner - Director's Cut
Forbidden Planet (Criterion Collection)
Akira (Criterion Collection)
Rasing Cain (John Lithgow)
The Fear Inside (Christine Lahti, Dylan McDermott)
Relentless 2 - Dead On
Awakenings (R. DeNiro, R. Williams)
Jurassic Park Box Set
Batman - Mask of Phantasm
Watership Down
Dead Again (Emma Thompson)
I'm up to about 80 or so Laserdiscs. I truly enjoy this format.

I like Laser discs. Sure they are big, don't spin up too fast, and they are a bit cumbersome to flip and change, but the quality of picture and sound definitely equal early DVD's, IMHO.
And I was the only one at work to own U2's "ZOO TV - live From Sydney" before it was re-released up here on DVD. :D
Do not remember where I got these links... Old age... Might have been from you... If not.... Here they are:)

Hey, we missed you at the Record Show this year. Wish you could have made it up. Terry (twantiques) was there, and we had a great time.

I have this disc, and you couldn't buy it from me at any price:no:
It has the best live version of "The Great Gig in the Sky"
This disc is high sought after by unscrupulous individuals because they will transfer it to DVD-R and make professional looking DVD's. Since everyone wants this on DVD, but it's not available, they will surely sell like crazy.
Not that anyone here would do such a thing :thmbsp:

Already have it on VHS, just looking for better sound and video as tape looks lousy when projected to 7ft.

Are you using a scaler for video tapes.. I just bought a Centerstage CS2 with Time Base Corrector for unstable video sources.. Hopefully, this will help my video tapes and other analog video sources..
