I heard the song 'Babylon' on NPR a few years ago and really liked it. A friend recently gave me a copy of the album: David Gray "White Ladder" (RCA 07863 69351-2) and I have fallen in love with it. Catchy hooks and lyrics, moody themes and a soulful delivery. Hard to catagorize what "type" of music it is. Just say it's a blend of Folk and Pop with some Jazz elements thrown in. I highly reccomend giving it a spin!

Thanks for the tip...I just DL'd that tune ....and I liked it ...is his stuff like that or is it varied??...

I'd like to hear more before I go out and spend 17.00 on a disc and find out that it is too mellow for my blood... ;)

Most of it is in that vein, but 'Babylon' is prolly the tamest song on the album. It IS kind of laid back, but it draws you in. Look for a used copy R2R!
