I am wondering if anyone here notices any differences in themselves if and when they have gone without music for awhile? So my question is, could you simply live without music and be the same person and just as happy? Do you really, "Require" music in order to have true happiness?

I have to have music, it helps me to retain my sanity when I've had a shitty week and I need to unwind. I can't go more than a day or two without it

I went without it for 4 years and I blame my stopping exercising and gaining
100lbs on it. I have been flipping miserable without music and I'm never living without it again ............

Life Without Music Is Like Sex Without The Orgasm.

Yeah, it's like masturbating with a cheese grater. Mildly amusing but mostly painful ...........

There are two things that effect my mood good Music and the Sox winning. Right now I'm listening to Etta James and not talking about the Sox.

I went camping one weekend and my portable's batteries were dead. It was a horrible weekend! Even the rest of the benefits of camping were tainted because of the lack of music! One thing I learned: birds can sing but they can't carry a tune!!

I've felt like I was dying the years that I stopped listening to music.
My ex wasn't a big music fan but that's no excuse, I should have kept blasting the stereo .......................

If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
That strain again! it had a dying fall:
O, it came o'er my ear like the sweet sound,
That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour! Enough; no more:
'Tis not so sweet now as it was before.
O spirit of love! how quick and fresh art thou,
That, notwithstanding thy capacity
Receiveth as the sea, nought enters there,
Of what validity and pitch soe'er,
But falls into abatement and low price,
Even in a minute: so full of shapes is fancy
That it alone is high fantastical.

I can live without music...but I would not be "...just as happy".

And I am certainly not going to try and find out.

I Have been on over 100 yachts and you can tell that the stereo has not been touched --------------- Like almost ever ----------------
So, then ----- obviously there are many that music means almost nothing to.
BUT THAT'S NOT I !!! ---------------
