A&E did another Live By Request concert with Lyle Lovett last night - live from Nashville. It was simply awesome. LL was funny, very humble, gave all the credit to his band, thanked the fans, A&E etc.
And the callers/emailers requested fantastic songs of his. I quickly called my boss & my brother to tell them the concert was coming on. I said I hope he plays some of my top 5 favorites, and he played three of them back to back to back - North Dakota, Gimme Back My Heart, and Lights of LA County.
He had a full choir there as well, and sang Church, as well as ending with a couple of gospel tunes. He also played a couple of tunes off his new album.
Luckily I taped it. This one I'll watch over and over.
