So I might be a little biased here since I like just about everything these guys put out. However this album is a joy to listen to, every track is good or
great. Alot of albums have dead spots that make you want to skip a track or two, but this one never leaves you wanting to push the track advance button.
Now for the best part; the sound. Inside the cover it proudly states "The record, lifeline, was recorded and mixed on a 16 track analog tape machine. No computers or pro-tools were used anywhere in the process." It shows too, the sound is buttery smooth and is probably one of the best analog recordings I have heard in a while. There is definite absence of any vocal processing, no sibilance, nothing artificial sounding about it. If the music industry still used the labeling system when cd's first appeared it would be labeled AAD for sure.
All in all a great album that is not only full of good music but is a fatigue-free listening experience.
