Kenwood/Trio was first and foremost a radio company, so it ought to have considerable potential.

Well if it counts at all (which to me it does) it looks gorgeous and in excellent shape.

Just been looking into the tubes of my little Lafayette mono tube and it is very similar equipped:
Matsushita
6AQ8 (2)
6AU6 (2)
6BA6 (2)
6AL5 (1)
6X4 (1)

I guess you are - as I am - curios to know if the Matsushita tubes are any good or should be substituted by western equivalents.

Well, it takes a lot of leg work, and once every 2 - 3 months you get rewarded! and I do live good area for this sort of activity.

I see a guy on the bay selling the original SM, so I will most likely get it. I have a good variac for this purpose, but I'd appreciate any help on how to bring her up the right way, cuz I'm a bit new to the tube world

Thanks guys
