Has anyone heard anything about the new Eagles Release?
I see they are doing an advance of the release sale, and it is twenty songs.

I am an Eagles fan from way back, I just hope this isn't another one like the Long Run, which had it's moments but was not like Hotel California.

I also see that Bernie Leadon has a new release out. Wonder if that is any good.

Regarding the remaining crew, I really think they are missing something without Don Felder.

If you take out The Long Run and Heartache Tonight, the 2 weakest songs, I think it's a great album. 'The Sad Cafe' is a great song, an underappreciated song.

I totally agree about Don Felder, I think it's a crying shame what Frey & Henley did to him!!
I doubt that I will buy the new CD just for that very reason.
It's all about the $$$$$$$!! IMO

I really liked "The Long Run" Also.
Ahhh, the good ol' days. My dad played that record a thousand times.:music:

The new Eagles record will only be available at Wal-Mart. The Eagles have sold their souls, (like Garth Brooks), and gotten in bed with the devil, all for the sake of the mighty dollar. :deal:

You can hear 3 new songs from the new album on a bonus disc that came with their last DVD. But only if you purchased it from Wal-Mart.

I had received that Wal-Mart DVD as a gift, and I was wondering if those bonus tracks were going to be on the new album.... I was less than impressed with the tracks, but so would most people who were raised on Hotel California, I think... The single that has been playing on the radio is pretty good. I don't think that the Eagles have much left in the way of Rockin' tunes inside them anymore, which is OK by me, because I can always go back and play the songs that I like when I want. After all, the boys are getting up there in years, it won't be long before they are singing and playing while sitting on stools, because the arthritis is getting bad!

I haven't seen the "Hell Freezes Over" DVD since it first came out, so I assume that by your reply that the were sitting down during that tour? My merory ain't what it was...

I guess I better go watch the Wal-Mart DVD, which was an Australian tour, to double check, I'm 99% sure they actually stood up for that performance!

They must be at least in their late 50's by now, if not early 60's, right? Let's give them credit for managing to survive rock n' roll for all those years... Thought for sure Joe Walsh was never gonna make it, but I quess he smartened up, and last I heard had been sober for several years now.

As far as the Eagles, members are concerned, I think Randy Miesner, was a better fit than Timothy Schmit. ( spelling wrong) and Eagles without Don Felder is just not right, but i already said that in my previous post.

I think Joe Walsh is one of the more under rated guitar players.

His stuff is not for everyone, but he sure has had a number of good tunes.

Actually after Hotel CA, I really like On the Border LP.

Tyson Who cares if its only available from Wal-Mart? As long as its available. Personally I think its a good buisness choice. Wal-Mart is the single biggest seller of cds in the world. And isnt that what its all about making money? perhaps they should offer them to the public for cost +$2.00 that they can donate to charity.:D
