Hi,
Just picked up a TT that has this cart... but couldn't find any reference to it on the web or the AT site.
Anyone know anything about it? Looks pretty basic, was thinking of picking up an AT-440MLa instead.
Thanks!

I'm assuming it's blue? If so, it's a rebadged AT12E, .4 x .7 elliptical stylus, tracks at 1.25-2g. Not a bad cart; can be improved with a ATS-12S line contact stylus, if you want, carried at stereoneedles.com or garage-a-records.com. Otherwise the AT440MLa is very popular 'round these parts.
What is the turntable?

Thanks.
Yeah, the stylus is blue and the cartridge body is white.
In fact, the stylus looks just like the ATS-12 on stereoneedles.com.
Since the ATS-12s is $53, I'd just as soon spend $85 on the AT-440MLa I think.
TT is Pioneer PL-518... big improvement over what I had before, I'm pretty happy with it. Still learning how to set it up and everything.
Thanks,
-Keith

Terrific--very nice turntable. Yep, the ATS-12 is the original stylus. I agree--go with the 440MLa.
BTW, if you don't already have them, both the owners manual and the service manual are available for download from the library section of vinylengine.com.

That was one of the first things I did. Great resource.
