A friend of mine suggested I listen to some My Chemical Romance,and I particularly liked House Of Wolves.This song is really a game of "spot the influences.The first one I picked up on was right before each chorus,it sounds just like KISS' "Detroit Rock City".The other one is just nagging at me.The guitar melody before the first verse sounds very New York punk circa 76-78.Im thinking maybe Richard Hell?If anyone knows what Im talking about,any help would be appreciated.

I can't place it either, but it does sound very 70s punk influenced. The whole album sounds like them trying to channel other bands from the 70s... Kiss, Queen, Pink Floyd, T. Rex.

The date rape thing is what my wife thought of the first time she heard the name of the band, kind of a personal joke type thing that reminds me of her.

As to the real meaning, if there is one, I don't know. Pretty good cd.
