OKay, maybe three.
First, way to go! Getting this organized and rolling is a good thing.

2nd; I noticed a post where certain gear is still being solicited, i.e. SET and high eff. speakers; you REALLYneed to lean on people to get that stuff there. You'll notice that while everyone wants to hear certain type rigs, most of the owners of such rigs don't really want to haul them out of the house. The commitment to do that is often lacking, so getting solid commitments for everything you want to see there is important. "Well, I HAVE a Screecher 3000 system but the thing is heavy and yadda yadda........"

Item three; the bleed-through between the rooms is VERY likely to be a problem. I'd feel pretty confident that we are talking drywall over metal studs, and not masonry walls separating the rooms. We all know how bass travels, and even midbass and lower mid will transfer through, esp. at the medium volumes that most of us like.
Solutions may include using wisdom about which types of rigs go in which rooms next to each other, and also you MAY try staggering the TIMES in which audio is ON in certain rooms. Example; rooms 1-3-5 play for one hour, on the even hours, etc. Sounds crazy, but it MIGHT be necessary. An early test of the rooms by the host in advance will forewarn of how bad or good it may be. Personally, if I am listening to a rig, even somewhat casually, I don't like to have to mentally filter out the audio information coming from another room.

I haven't read through most of the posts here so perhaps some of the has been addressed. Beyond that, 1/2 the attraction for most attendees is meeting and yakking with fellow audionuts.

I take it you will be in attendance with us there, Just think how nice it would be for you to visit and enjoy, instead of taking care of the logistics of everything.

Nice to hear from you O mighty Festmaster!!!!!!!!

good advice Mike!

Funny, this thing started as grumpy having just a few people over...course...you know how that goes. You are the master of having...just a few people over to your city ;)

best holiday wishes to you, your lovely wife...and family.

Mike

Thanks for the good advice. I have been pretty concerned with the "bleed through" between rooms but unfortunately there is very little i can do besides what you have suggested.

How i wish we had a reasonably priced Meeting hall with many rooms in our area.

As GF pointed out what started as a get together at my house has grown quite a bit. Once more then 5 members said they wanted to meet at my place i knew i was in trouble. I thought i had the great idea of finding one large room for us to just mingle in but that soon changed after many many phone calls and meetings with hotel sales staff.

We will have roughly 2800 sq feet of space split between 7 rooms. My intentions were to fill them with our members Rigs and let everyone show their gear off. Never did I imagine it would grow into this.

I still have no idea of how many will attend but I know one thing for sure. We will definitely all have a great time. I am looking forward to meeting lots of new and old members.

I do hope you can attend. After getting a very small taste of what you went through in Lima for all those folks i have a new found respect for you. I never did get to thank you for all your hard work when i was down there so i will now. Thank you. Hope you can come up and throw back a brew with us.

Thanks, I may just try to get there, since it's only 2 hours or so.
As for the room issue, just getting people to agree to moderate levels will help alot.
Just keep it in your head, again, that just getting folks together is 1/2 the reason to do such an event. The idea sharing that goes on is great. Also, these ease with which the internet allows a farflung group to pursue a hobby is really great, isn't it?
