AC/DC CDs- originals, or Remasters?
Want to pick up a copy of dirty Deeds and a copy of Back in Black, but haven't heard the remasters compared to the originals.
Are the remasters all bumped up to make my "ride" sound good, thump thump thump, or are the remasters really well done, and will outperform the originals through some tower speakers in my living room?
Anyone compare the remasters to the originals?

The original Atlantic CDs, including the Barry Diament masterings, are the preferred versions.
The exception, IMO, is '74 Jailbreak where the remaster shines.
Bear in mind the remasters are NOT gawdawful and are easy to enjoy. The originals are not perfect either, but given the choice, are the way to go.
If you are looking for vinyl, the original Atlantic LPs, where the "A" is curved and the label is grey/silver and black are awesome. Avoid the Columbia House pressings.
If you can find a "Back in Black" with "RL" in the deadwax you will be blown away by the Robert Ludwig pressing. It will jump off your TT. He did a few others, but rather than research it, it's 5:00 on Friday and I'm gonna get a beer.

Actually the original Dirty Deeds Done dirt Cheap is an Australian issue on Albert Productions Label #APLP-020 And has a VERY VERY DIFFERENT jacket as you can see below:

Your not going to believe this but I just got a copy of this LP off ebay the seller mailed it in a simple padded envelope via Priority mail being a first LP it is very thin he did remove it from the jacket as I asked. BUT then the mail man having no clue it was an LP bent it to fit in my std size rural mail box!!!!!!! The Jacket is ruined with big folds on all four corners (I was going to frame it OH well) but get this the vinyl looks fine no warp no cracks nothing. It's not as nice as the seller said but a good solid VG+
I'm going to play it tonight. I'm told it does have a slightly different mix to it. I also have a early pressing US issue so maybe I'll try comparing them tonight.
SORRY Paul I missed you were talking about CD's Mine is of course vinyl.
