Won't swear to it but guess $100 - $125 range for pricing. As for value, easily 2x. I had a set of W70D and now have a set of W70s and these speakers are a delight. Comparison to the KLH 5 and 12 possibly. Dynaco, I'll pass on as I have never really done time with them and for AR, not sure they are comparitive as too different in design, power requirements and sound. My comparison is a set of Bozak 302s that are slightly larger, a little less efficient, does handle more power and is a 3-way system. I like both equally though they each sound somewhat different. The Wharfedales are a bit more light and open sounding. The Bozaks more full, present a larger soundstage and come closer to where I sit in most concert halls.

thanks brian. i've got to decide if it's worth the trouble. you know SO issues...
It all depends on taste. I wouldn't spend more than $100, but that's just what I would spend.
They are some very good speakers that most people would be lucky to have.

If nearby worth getting if within the range and you can transport. They are a good size box and not inexpensive to ship. On the saving side, they do not require big power so you can save a bundle by getting a Marantz 1060 rather than a McIntosh C32/MC2600.
