Could be close to impossible,,I just got home from a place here in Atlanta, GA, and I am not sure how common this is, but it seems to me that these places wont buy back what they give you,,,and we all know that a lot of the LP's they sell are not 100% mint,,they have the occasional mark or light scratch, but I didnt care, because they are fairly cheap...
But it makes me feel that I should only buy definite titles that I know I will like, and that I am almost certain to keep....I bought a LP 2 days ago at EAT MORE RECORDS here in town, and the guy wouldnt take it back as a partial trade,,,I was so blooming mad, I just walked out,,,I had spent 60 bucks 2 days ago there,,,he lost a very good customer..
It makes me wonder about the Book Nook LP'a which usually have marks on them...oh well, live and learn, but boy, it did piss me off tonight!

Well, some folks are just plain jackasses.
You drop $60.00 in his place and he won't buyback/trade part of that deal 2 days later? What are we talking about $2, $5, $10???
He sure got himself some nice NEGATIVE advertising for the price of lunch. Pewrhaps he should change his name to EAT MORE CHIT
Make sure all your friends know where not to go!
Same thing has happened to me before with used CD's. I bought a CD that I somehow forgot I already had. I didn't even take it out of the case. Took it back and asked if I could trade it in for something else. He looked at it and said I scratched it so he couldn't take it back. It was in my posession for about four hours, and I never touched the disc. Too bad they got the best selection of used discs in town , or I wouldn't go back.

That plain sucks! FWIW, I won't be buying any records there!
The only record store around here that won't return for credit has a decent table you can play what you want before you buy.

Same with me Grump! I bought a cd at Back Alley that I hated,I happened to mention it to Chas and he insisted I pick out a sealed copy of something I liked.
The dumb ass at Eatmore doesn't release he can take the album back and re-sell it.This is where used cd and vinyl shops make their money. He doesn't deserve your patronage,WhiteSE

Where I live there is not anything close to a record store, plenty of stores to buy CDs, but nothing for used LPs. The only way I am able to buy my LPs is to buy from someone that is willing to sell some of there collection.:( I have bought a few from ebay, but they have all been in poor shape, even though the seller claimed they were mint. There is a shop advertised about thirty miles from here, I might drive over there one Saturday and see what they have for sale. :D

Are you complaining about the music or the condition?
The local places by me will not take back records. At prices ranging from$1 to $8, its not a big deal. I don't think its all that uncommon, not to take back sales. They usually don't make alot of profit on each individual album. One of the whole points( for me) of buying used LPs, is to take a chance on things I wouldn't normally buy. If I don't like it, so what? No biggie. I don't see the point of *whining* about it.
Interestingly, records that are "rated" for condition tend to be overrated(by my standards), but most of the unrated albums I buy are mint to near mint.

I Don't think He's "Whining" As you can see Many stores have Diff policy's.
Maybe we just don't live up to the "Jack" standard. :grumpy:
