What can you tell me about these pieces Grumpy has for sale? Looking to build a nice little vintage audio system to play through some horn loaded cabinets.

What about Dynaco ST-70? McIntosh MC-240?

I have an A50K which is the kit version of the A500. Sounds great. 7355 is a bit uncoomon of a power tubes though.

I have both of those pieces. Very good sound. I think the A500 sounds as good as my Fisher 400.

Ancient thread resurrection, ne? :D

BTW: the Sovtek 7591XYZ (NOT a "normal" 7591... ONLY the "XYZ", which is in essence, a re-pinned 6L6, and is therefore an exact parameter match for the 7355) is a drop-in working replacement for the 7355. May not be able to put the case back on (it's a bit taller)... that's the only drawback. But, they will work PERFECTLY...

Regards,
Gordon.
