I'm new to this forum and while I was browsing through different threads I really noticed how everyone here is real passionate about good equipement and we all know that good stereo equipment enhances the listening experience creating good sound and eventually leading into buying records ,so I thought it would be interesting to know how many albums you each own and how long have you been collecting or buying etc... I've been personally getting heavily into music and I've been seriously buying albums for 3 years now on a regular basis and I have about 80 albums in my collection of every possible genre which is growing every week.

I think I have 600 albums. about 300 8-tracks, 2 boxes of 45's (200-300) couple of portable records players, and some tapes:D
Lost count on those, just love the smell of tape-acid in the morning :p:
And a couple of reel to reel decks...

Millerdog,
Yes 8-tracks :p: I started collecting those 9 years ago, but don't buy anymore.
Got a couple of different 8-track recorders here that I restored.
Mostly problems with the tapes... splicing-tape that fall off on old tapes.
Some is still in pretty good shape and sound OK.
But they take up alot of space...

About 600 albums and 1400 CDs, the vast majority of it '70s - '90s popular music. You have no idea the joke you're missing when Grumpy says he has too many CDs.
They're dormant till I get a TT. Which requires a pre and I'm too smitten with my passive setup. Someday I'm sure. MikE

3000 albums plus sets, 1200 45s, 75 78s, 12 Turntables, and a bunch of receivers and amps. This is sickness that doesnt go away. No matter how much I try to stay away from the thrifts they pull me in. I think my truck knows all the proper turns for each store and I find myself fighting with it to not go and look for records.
