I was lucky enough to find a Sony APR-5003 professional 1/4" reel-to-reel deck locally that I'm picking up tonight. If you Google the model it is quite the machine and is supposedly just under Studer/Ampex in terms of quality. Has anyone used this machine before? The owner says the heads were recently relapped and it was well taken care of by a production studio (original owner) before he bought it. I got it for a real bargain price.
