Yesterday I "discovered" ccr.Have not turned my system off since. I've just got to ask. How is it you weren't familiar with them or their body or work prior to now? :scratch2: They were HUGE in the 70s. audiomad 11-10-2007, 08:27 PM I`m 45,is that a reason? 70salesguy 11-10-2007, 08:42 PM Just kind of hard to believe you never heard "Proud Mary", "Suzie Q" or "Heard it from the grapevine". Where did you grow up? No oldies stations? ANYWAY.........ENJOY!!!! Lots of great music from CCR! Might be more great stuff you can discover! audiomad 11-10-2007, 08:43 PM Oh man,I guess it was a little before my time. Arkay 11-10-2007, 08:46 PM I`m 45,is that a reason? You are 4-1/2 months old would be a reason. You are 4-1/2 years old might be a reason. You were born without ears and only had them surgically transplanted last year would be a reason. You grew up in the hinterlands of Upper Volta or the wastelands of Antarctica and only just came out to civilization last year might be a reason. You had a rare disease and spent most of your life like that kid in the movie, sealed inside of a bubble suit might be a reason. Honestly, I cannot imagine being 45 and growing up in the States and NOT knowing CCR, given that they were one of the BIG groups "back in the day". They were frequently on the radio, played at school dances and covered by local garage bands, etc... part of the soundtrack we grew up to. But looking on the bright side, you've discovered them now, and can enjoy them all you want! :music: :thmbsp: For the last few weeks, I've been really enjoying exercising on my "new" (vintage) Nordic Track Pro exercise machine. The background music I often choose to "train" to usually includes some CCR. :music: :D audiomad 11-10-2007, 08:49 PM WOW,I guess that said it all!I heard of them, but did not hear them, know what I mean? 70salesguy 11-10-2007, 08:52 PM It's not a big deal. ENJOY...ENJOY...ENJOY  edwinr 11-12-2007, 02:43 AM I guess I`ve been in the dark the past 40 year`s. Yesterday I "discovered" ccr.Have not turned my system off since. Okay. You need help. :bash: But it's not too late. :deal: Buy John Fogerty's new album 'Revival' and all will be forgiven... :yippy: |
