Looking over the service manual and trying first hand... I can't seem to get the set screw removed
to remove the volume knob off of a Kenwood Model 500.

It looks like it's an allen wrench of some sort, but I've tried all the ones that I have that look the size,
but I don't seem to have the right one.

Anyone know the correct size so I can go buy the one I need?

My best recomendation is to go buy a complete set. I have the 500 and was able to get it off with a set that I had gotten from Home depot. For repair work it is invaluable to have nice tools. The set I have has both metric and standard The cost was much less then buying them piece meal.

I have a couple of sets myself... apparently I don't have the correct one in any of my sets. :dunno:

I don't have the amp in front of me but my bet would be that it is metric and small........like that helps.......good luck.
