Ampzilla indeed. Damn!

How do they sound? I had a chance to buy some of that stuff a year ago and passed because I did not have the cash or need for it.

Why do they have Star Trek emblems on them?

I was looking at the pic asking myself where the hell the amps were!!! Then I realized those big ass things on each side were amps!

Bet they put out some serious juice.

What are the 2 Parasound units?

Would you expect anything less from James?

Those are Scamps, power relays. The amps plug into them and they inturn power on the amps in sequence when the Yamaha is turned on.

As I recall, James had some fairly serious health issues in the late nineties. Nice to see he's still around doing that voodoo that he do so well! (He was also the designer for some of Dynaco's and SAE's gear.)

Outside of his name, which is fun to say, I think the most remarkable thing about him is his choice of clothes. The electronics, while amazing, just can't compete...
