I thought I would share a photo of Fred's system in Houston. Without a dought one of the most definitive audiophile systems I've ever seen. Anytime someone says I have a lot of gear, I point Fred out. So no matter where you are in your audio journey, there will be some with more and some with less. In Fred's case, a lot more.

FYI each speaker is over seven feet tall and over 800 pounds.

How do the red horns relate to the tall black columns? Sorry for the ignorance. I'm not familiar with that type of gear, but it looks impressive!

Very impressive system!!

black columns are probably woofers...
the horns are probably tweeter, hi mid and lo mid.

Like his subwoofers too :)

Keep them spinning,
Bert.

As you would expect the horns are the speakers. The twist is the tweeter is a plasma tweeter. The tall colums hold 4 tens each.

i've always wondered what a real high fidelity stereo must look like, and now i know. fred is something else. every other pic i've seen of his stuff looks minimalist and DIY...i guess this is 'the main system'

I had a chance to hear these speakers in Denver last month. Was a shame they felt the need to blare them at 100 plus db every time i tried to walk in there.
