I mentioned them over in the prog rock thread and got to thinking. I saw them live a few years back before I really knew who they were, and their performance really won me over. I'm into this style of music, so I started to look for other similar bands, and came up with a string of fantastic spin-off / side project bands like Red Sparowes, Pelican, and Tides, and somewhat similar bands like Mouth of the Architect, Mastodon and Neurosis etc.

So I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for bands to check out in the genere? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
