My plan is to use the g-8000 with pioneer hpm 900's in the sitting room, but I would like to use speaker B to run a set of speakers to the garage.
What relatively small speakers, maybe even indoor/outdoors, could take the power of the sansui and the conditions of the garage? and sound half-way decent?
Thanks,
G:music:

Yee Olde Radio Shack Minimus 7's were nice remotes. Not sure about the power thing.

A set of KLH 900B's would work nicely. They are rated for 140W each and sound good too. You could probably find a pair relatively cheep to. (picked mine up for $20.)

Kind of a rhetorical question, though if anyone has/knows the answer, I'd love to hear it...

When people give suggestions to speakers, why do they many times give the speaker as rated for watts instead of perhaps, sensativity??

Not picking on X 25, but he said "They are rated for 140W" Wouldn't it be better to know that they are 89 db/w or perhaps 95 db/w??

Just curious

I gave the wattage rating so that anyone with an amp that can do more than 140wpc will know that the speakers won't take it. Also, i can't find the db/w rating for these speakers.

Unless the receiver is running full tilt with some highly compressed music, 140w speakers will easily survive the onslaught of the typical 200wpc amp providing that the receiver isn't clipping.
