Found this at an antique store. I won't tell you what they want for it but it is cheep. So, my questions are, what is it worth? should i get it? and if i get it and my parents say to get rid of it or if i end up not wanting it would there be someone who would want it?
Thats all, thanks for any help.
If at all possible i could use an answer by the morning because that is when i will be heading back in the direction of the store. I will also do a search and see what i find.

This is the SS version of one of the old Robers Reel to Reels. It is a very primative unit that IMHO is probably not worth bothering with, unless you are an Akai collector (roberts were made by Akai).
Roberts and Akai both made several very similar tube models which at least had some SEP tube amps built-in to make them interesting.
Ok, thanks for the info. It is apparently the same as the Akai M-9. I just wanted to make sure it was nothing amazing that i would kick myself for not buying. They want a whopping $10 for it so it caught my interest.

For $10 its hard to go wrong. But an M8 would get me a whole lot more interested than would an M9 (simply because of the tubes), even though neither one is great machine.
