A Stromberg-Carlson ASE-434 tube preamp that I am waiting for Fedex to deliver anytime today!

Update: Fedex just delivered it and it is still in one piece! It's cold here so I am letting it warm up to room temperature before plugging it in.

Costco had the Sansa 8GB MP3 player on sale for $89.00. I bought one for my daughter and one for myself. The sound is a bit bass shy, but there is a very nice built in EQ and I dialed the bass up just a tad and it now sounds great. Bought a pair of Sennheiser HD201 phones to go with it. They are such a great deal for $25.

Nice, it looks cold though (or it needs a good cleaning) and there are a couple RCA jacks on the back of it.

A VPI Scout and a Sumiko BlackBird Cartridge, Almost!! The funds went to pay for my daughters next semester at Towson University. Always time for a Table upgrade later. Her education is on the front burner now- 2nd semester Junior. Wonder what Tables will be available in 2009-2010? BTW I'm not suffering, My TD125 MKII with the Denon DL160 is doing just fine.:music:

Thanks X 25...:thmbsp:, but the one I have my little heart set on is the Technics RS 1520 (as pictured), although I'd be happy with a nice RS1500, 1506, or 1700.

I don't know if these can be found for 10 bucks, but there is always wishing...:D

Thanks! No work is needed, all of the caps and resistors have been replaced by a tech. She finally warmed to room temperature and I got her hooked up to my Magnavox AMP-175 6V6 amp and she sounds nice! I still need to clean the chassis.

I'm getting one of the 8GB Zune2 players as a gift. I'm not an MP3 player fan but looking forward to trying it out - I've used Pocket PCs and Mobile Phones, and I mostly listen to lossless WMA files on the laptop when I'm mobile.

These look slim and the FM radio and wireless sync from the home network looks nice. I might actually carry it around and use it during the commute instead of firing up my laptop. I hope I can move tv and movies from the Tivo onto it too. I think it's going to be a fun toy. :music:

I have a Behringer MX2004A mixer on the way, and about 50 albums..

Bought my wife another band to go with her wedding ring that she has been asking for the last couple years. Just picked it up from the jewler yesterday because it had to be made to match the other.

Is that a "thanks for putting up with me for so long" band or is it a band to try and make her happy so you can bring more audio gear into the house? :D

Yes, it's a Behringer MX2004A .. I've heard it's pretty noisey for recording, but I have no intensions of recording through it. It is really nice and quiet for playback though. Also sounds a lot better than the Tapco I was using. Has some nice added features I didn't have on my other too...

Got it off e-bay for less than a buck fifty shipped and in near perfect condition. I can only find one little scratch on it where they used something to remove a label. I'll be covering it with another, so no deal... Every thing on it works perfectly too.. Shop around.. you can find used mixers for decent prices, especially 4 tracks...

I'm taking an 11 day vacation this year. Hopefully with that time I can give myself some much needed space by selling off a bunch of stuff and buying a digital SLR with the proceeds. I just have way too many speakers taking up space. Some need refoamed so I'll be doing that.

Once I put my Missions into the system, I really don't see a need for most of the other speaks I have, barring a few sentimental ones.

Of course I've threatened this before, hopefully it will work this time.

A Fisher Fm-200b tuner, the day after Thanksgiving. It was supposed to be my Christmas present to myself but a couple of weeks have passed and now I think I deserve another present for not having bought anything big since then.

Great tuner. Unless something happens with it, I don't think I have to look for another. Of course, if I stumble across one...or see one on CL.....

 I never got seriously enough into triathlon to pony up for a dedicated steed like that. I settled for an "all-purpose" Cannondale that has taken me through a couple tri's, a few du's, and a lot of backroads.

As far as what I got myself, I guess I've been pretty good about concentrating on other folks as the only thing I got myself was one of these:http://www.lifeisgood.com/images/fall07/results/men/AC_OVAL.jpg

Fortunately, the room is fairly long so I have a dead-center seating position about 13-15ft back. But yeah, still pretty darn close to the speakers - and the 7,800w that will be driving them.

They can't stay where they are after I'm done playing around - unless I move the HT to a different room. I have a fairly small ranch-style house so I'm running out of options there too. However, I have two weeks off between company holidays and a few days of vacation, and no WAF to contend with. The GF thinks I'm completely bonkers, but she's probably not the only one. :screwy:
