May be No more Emotiva RPA amps

I sent am email to Emotiva asking about availability of the RPA-1 amp. This is the reply I got back "We'll be out of stock at least until late January. Not sure if we'll have more RPA's, or will go with a new 2 channel in development (similar price point, more power)." It will be interesting to see what new equipment they offer, and will it stack up to the RPA-1.

That's kind of disappointing. But, I wonder If they'll offer some kind of upgrade program like they do with the processor?

Lets hope they do not go HT only. If they do no make a replacement 2 channel amp you can only guess the preamp is on its way out as well. Since they sold out before having to issue discounts I'd guess we would see another 2 channel amp from them.

I find it hard to believe they could make a more powerful 2-channel amp in the same price range. If it does happen, will they use the same high quality components? :scratch2:

If only I could afford the preamp, I would get one now before anything changes. They make a beautiful matched set.

I agree it could be disappointing. Such a nice looking and well-built amp is hard to come by, new, for that $$$. Hopefully, they won't start cutting quality to boost the bottom-line. Bean counters, have killed other great audio companies quality in the not so distant past. But, may be they will come out with a better product, as they suggest. I'm pretty sure they will offer some upgrade incentive. We'll see.
