IXLR8 01-01-2008, 10:58 AM My wife pulled out Dan Fogelberg ~ High Country Snows, an album that I purchased new for her first. Also one by him I do not remember called Exiles. She pulled a Pink Floyd ~ The Piper at the Gates of Dawn a German pressing looked very good. She commented that is it not nice to have albums in alpha order? Honey Pink Floyd goes into the P's, we laughed.
Mark W. 01-01-2008, 11:03 AM First music I heard for the new year was "WELCOME TO THE MACHINE" by Pink Floyd accompanying the TRANSFORMERS style Float in the Pasadena Rose Parade.
Since I'm a big Pink Floyd fan I thought this was cool.

Small world! I have a buddy who does the same thing MOST of the time. Sometimes we thought it was a bit sad thinking about 69 flipping over to 1970, Jimi's last year. Somewhere in the jam Jimi mutters something like "kiss my behind 1969", that always got us back laughing.:smoke::smoke:
This year we happened to be viewing the AWESOME video of The Who- "Live At The Isle Of Wight.:music: My GOD those guys were tight as Dicks hatband back then, again 1970. September I think...
For the record since this idea came up I am currently jamming "Machine Gun" on my new vintage Sansui speakers that are from around 1970. Some kid would freak if he heard the sonic thunder these old speakers are dishing out.
I rededicate this to all the soldiers fighting in Chicago, Milwaukee, and New York, and oh yes the soldiers that are STILL fighting in Vietnam, and last but not least the soldiers trapped with an invisible enemy in our latest political death machine, Iraq
