Jebus, how did I ever miss this one? It's basically a 55-gallon drum of piss and vinegar, and catches him midway between his R&B phase and the jazzy noodlings and mushmouth delivery of the late 70s/early 80s. The lyrics and banter are actually intelligible.

Prepare for a woofer workout, and that's just the horn section. Recommended.
