Is there any cure for a warped record?
Can it be minimized or improved with either a large amount of weight and time?
Or minimized or improved with heat and weight?
Just wondering. :scratch2:

There are a bunch of home remedies and a $1.5K machine - the Furutech DFV-1 LP Flattener. Most of the home remedies involve heat and a plate glass sandwich, which is how the DFV-1 works. Obviously everything needs no be surgically clean or you're going to imbed grime into the record.

The tempered glass oven sandwich seems to work fine, but be very involved. The real issue is what disc is warped? If it is a common disc that can be snapped up for less $10 in nm shape then it may not even be worth trying. If it is a mono colored vinyl Hard Day's Night LP, or Freewheelin' Bob Dylan with John Birch on it, get some glass.

Actually, for the records you mention, I would buy or rent the $1500 device. It really does work, according to those who have tried it.
