"when i hooked it up to four 1000w JBLS it pushed the crap out of them..."
If you hooked 1000w speakers to a 600w amp, wouldn't the speakers push the music backwards??:scratch2::headscrat

Interesting.. a 700w amp busting windows and melting wires...
Hows come my 1000w and 1400w amps have never done either? I'm sure I've got a nastier set of woofers than this guy has ever dreamed of, and the only way I can break glass is dance them off my wife's curio shelves... :scratch2:

Whenever you have a set search in eBay, it does tend to come up with some real crapola from time to time!:D

Haha... the other amp he lists (with the big meter) appears to be a paging/PA amp like you use for overhead speakers in an office or shop! Notice the "70V" output on it.

The reason y'all's amps don't bust winders 'n' melt warrs 'n' stuff is that you didn't use Endust t'clean 'em with-Obviously...Dumasses !! (grin)

I figured that 70v was what melted the wires, and probably some voice coils... The coils ozzing out of them was probably the crap he saw being pushed out... don't buy any JBL's from this guy... :nono:

That's why he's offering it on 'the bay.'
Using Endust was the end of his amp.:smoke:

This guy is obviously not a Mensa member but I have to stick up for him a bit. Endust does make a product designed to be used for electronics. It wouldn't hurt anything by spraying it in your pots but I'm not sure it would do any good either.

That amp looks a lot like the 150wpc 'Studio Standard' I gave away just to get it out of the house. Maybe he thinks the A and B speaker posts are all 150 watts all the time. Mine was a POS.

That amp is 700W from the wall not output. Looks to be Mono as well and with the 70V tap I'm guessing it probably played musak at the K-mart down the street.
As for that Fisher its one of those special ones that has proprietery hook ups for the tuner and tape so is mostly useless without the rest of the set.
Certainly is enthusiastic about his product though.

Don't feel bad.. I can't get my CD's to skip either.. but I can and have bounced the tone arm across an album :tears: I guess that means my speakers must be half good...

That only happens when you switch the (+) and (-) connections on the speakers.
