i have an au x501 amp. tu 577x tuner and a se 1000 eq. i have misplaced my manuals.
i can get everything hooked up and working except the eq.i don't remember how to hook it up so everything else plays thru it. i just don't use it. i would like to.
i am also putting my sat box into the amp as an aux.
if someone has the manuals or can explain how to hook the components up. thanks in advance. bob

Hey dog bone, welcome to AK and the [Exclusively Sansui] forum. This is a great place to hang out! :thmbsp:
Using an equalizer on an amplifier or receiver without PRE OUT/MAIN IN connections requires a different approach. I don't think the AU-X501 has that loop, does it?
If not, then connect your EQ input to TAPE 1 OUT and the output from the EQ to TAPE1 REC. Then, to switch the EQ into the loop, use the TAPE selector for Tape1.

This is the way always recommended to connect an EQ. The eq can easily be bypassed by Tape Monitor switch and left outside the signal path when not in use. :thmbsp:

thank you both for getting back and welcomeing me to the forum.
you jogged my memory.i knew it was about the tape monitor. i remembered having to push the dat or tape button but i was drawing a blank. i haven't used the equipment in years.
i have taken the sterio up to my seasonal campsite and put it in my bar/shed to listen while at the fire or playing darts. i'm using bose outside speakers. doesn't sound half bad. i'm hooked up to the sat dish for xm radio, sunday nascar and music videos.
thanks again for the info. i'll have to wait til i get back up there to hook it up right.
