Need Computer help!

For some reason my computer seems to pop-up full screen ads at wierd random times. Dont have to be using the internet they will interupt video games, programs, ect. How do i get this to stop? My anti-virus program (AVG) doesn't help at all. I looked everywhere on the hard drive trying to find whatever program is running them to no avail.

run both spybot and ad-aware - usually an effective 1-2 punch for spyware.

Worked like a champ, although spybot found an ad aware copycat that i apparently downloaded, I guess they try to hide it alongside ad aware and it tracks your internet passwords, so now I am off to change all my passwords...
