The Museum was missing a TU 505 tuner, and lo and behold one pops up on the local Craigslist, $10 and a few lamps and some cleaning at it's good to go.
It's a well built lower end tuna, 3 gang tuning cap, no tuning centering meter but it will match the series of amps, and sounds fine for the regular FM stations I listen to.
And for Paul....

Hey Casey,
Congrats on a good buy,!... saw one on epay/canada last week, but alas,
prohibitive shipping.....Looking for one to go with my AU-505, which is
currently getting solid cherry end panels, plus a repaint on top, so soon
to be a 'happy' refurbished amp.....Regards. T:thmbsp:

Fresh Tuna: Sounds like a 1967 rock band. Filmore West and Winterland, it doesn't or will ever be as great as that was!! :thmbsp: Sansui forever!! :thmbsp::yes:

Nice SCORE Casey. :thmbsp:

I have the 505 separates in my kitchen with small Advents - I like the looks of that tuner.
