In These days changed my 300B (cascade 6Sn7) in the classic circuit WE91 on an old manual RCA RADIOTRON DESIGNERS HANDBOOK Fourth Edition. Now drivers are pentodes 6J7, I believe that Western engineers knew that use pentodes instead of triodos as drivers for 300B. Best Regards , Martin.
If I get tired of the vintage sound style 30"s, I return to the circuit Reichert 300B.
