Show me the cheapest 12ax7 preamp to diy!

Does it have to be 12AX7? There's better tubes out there that can be built around for less dough IMHO. Have you ever looked at the 12B4 for example? I built a little linestage around one about a year ago with stuff out of my scrap pile. It sounded damn good too, but I needed a phono stage, so the parts got recycled again. Are you wanting to build something for yourself?:scratch2:

Whatever the tubes that i won there good buddy! Dont care what it really is, i can get some more tubes, but just figured i had two sockets for these, and might as well use em! or wait and listen to the audiokarma, pros!!

I haven't shipped anything yet either, and I think I have a power transformer for this one. Let me know what you think, but IMO this will walk all over a 12AX7.:yes:
