Went to the local thrift and purchased a late 40's Omega Seamaster, Bumper automatic watch fully working. It is being professionally cleaned, but works like a charm. What a treat.

I had an Omega from my dad that went out in space,,,but I got mugged in Jersey City..!!

I can post pics once I have it back in possession. I took the watch to a professional cleaner for a cleaning/lubrication ect. He indicated that it was a rarer Seamaster, with a desirable "bumper" style movement.

I go through watches like crazy, though. Always breaking or losing them, I couldn't have something that nice.

I'm not a huge watch fellow, but I can appreciate a piece of history. Its also quite elegant looking, and would be a great gift to my son when he's older.
