I recently bought another MC275 and on the box it shows MC275A.
Is there a difference between MC275 and MC275A ?

MC275A is the current ROHS version with the 5 way binding posts. Also known as MKV to McIntosh fans and insiders.

I bought MC275V which that came with five way binding post and that box doesn't have A at the end.

I have an MC-275 which I was told was a series IV. I don't see that designation anywhere on the amp or box. It has xlr as well as the gain knobs for rca. Standard screw terminals. uses 12AX7's and 12AT7's ( I mention be chase this has changed over the years).

So what do I have?

Sounds like a MKIV. The MKV does not have gain controls or terminal strips as it uses 5-way speaker binding posts.

Thanks,
Ron-C

Macomega,

On a different note, I recently got the 402 but man oh man was i tempted by the 275! I'm very envious of the good times you must be having. Enjoy! :music:

I am sure your 402 sounds sweet too.
By the way what kind of speaker are you using with your 402 ?
