I've got a Model 240 that I need to do some work on. If I get a chance to dig into it in the next couple of days, I'll check the bulb type and let you know. It's original so I know the right one form the factory is in there.

Sorry Teoman, came down sick and have been out of commission. I might get a chance this weekend if I'm up to it. Hopefully, your not in a hurry. I'm surprised with the popularity of the 240 amp someone else hasn't chimed in here.

The original lamp used in the model 240 amp is a 6 volt, 0.15 amp with a metal shield. The shield is in place so the light doesn't show (glare) thru the perf top on the amp.
