I have a 14 year old Onkyo 6 disc changer. 12 of those years it has been used and abused in the family living room by wife and kids. Never missed a beat. At the time it was an upper end unit. Will stick with Onkyo in my HT setup.

I had a kenwood 200 disc player .It took me forever to load it up type it all the names and titles . After using it for about 6 months I missed handling the individual cd and looking at the liner notes. So I sold it at my garage sale for 20 bucks and was glad it was gone. There's nothing like a single disc player.Just my opinion

I have a Pioneer PD-F908 101 disc jukebox in my home office that I bought about 7 years ago. I work from home 3-5 days a week, and I usually play CD's rather than LP's or tapes during my 8 hours in front of the computer. You can load single CD's, but I often just put it on random play on the 52 greatest hits CD's I have in there. I have never had any problems with the mechanism, which I consider pretty good considering the amount of time I play it. It sounds pretty good playing CD's through the Yamaha CR-2020 and Large Advents. I don't remember what I paid for it new, but it was around $200 IIRC.
Edit: I was just on ebay and found this auction for the same model, FWIW. No affiliation of course.

hey ashfan, thanks for that ebay tip. it looks like a good buy. I don't mind 114 total BIN. with mnl/remote. some have neither.
PS: it's mine now. It'll be playin thru a Sansui AU517 and a pair of B&W DM602s. A sweet match

Good for you. Like I said, it sounds nice and given all the hours I've had it running, it's a real work horse.

Ashfan, it was good to get input from a longtime owner of the unit who lived with it over time and to know it kept on tiking. The ebay seller had his about 7yrs, and it appears to be in good contition( of course pics can lie). As long as it works when I get it, not damaged in shipping I'll be happy. I'll keep my 1 disc pioneer for its 'vintage' value, 'sides, it works excellent.

I have a Pioneer PD-F907 which is a similar 101 disc changer. I've had it for several years since I bought it used for about $50 (shipping included, but no remote) and have had no problems with it. Hope your PD-F908 works out as well.

Well then, if 1 is good then 2 must be better. A like Pio 101cd poped up on local CL at $50 yesterday. Am seriously considering it, mnl and remote incl.
If I go over 100 cds I'll be ready, or just for insurance or just because I can.
Can always sell later.
