my karik is giving me trouble. it works intermittendly; sometimes for hours then not for days. there is a slight burning odour and the power light goes out after a few minutes on the day it doesn't respond. :tears:
the numerick is fine and when the karik will play it still sounds great. the karik and numerick are my last existing pieces of a complete 'linn system' (ok i do have an LP12 and lingo).

i'm looking for someone to look at it. i have contacted linn directly and they no longer service kariks and want to sell me a new cd player...

there must be some renegade out there with the knowledge and parts to keep these older units going????

i have left messages for benchtech, ny audio repair and atlas audio repair but have not received any replies.
years ago i purchased an akito from a man who worked for linn for many years. he lives in wrightwood california. i am in los angeles. i'm wondering if in the relatively small world of linn, if anyone out there knows of him????
