Anyone out there know how difficult this is in this receiver? I have done dial light replacements before but not in a Sansui. I just bought this thing tonight for $25 at a local thrift store, works fine, including all the lights except for one, at the left end of the dial, work. Not bad for a thrift store piece, kind of cool to have a vintage receiver with a black face. Good deal too, there was a sticker on the back saying it was serviced in August 2000, all the knobs are silent as a lamb. Seems relatively comparable to my other higher powered receivers. Built quite nice too.

Yrly - Did you see what I see is on the bay. Hint: you have a pair. Shipping is a little to high.

yrly, the dial lights are inside the white plastic panel behind the dial. It has a screw on each end that holds the housing. Loosen the screws and slide back the panel and tilt it up. The bulbs are 8 volt fuse type lamps. Before you replace the bulbs clean the socket with alchohol or contact cleaner and bend them in a little. Replace the bulb and check and see if it lights. It is a good idea to clean all of the bulbs sockets because this is a problem with all the X0X0 series Sansui receivers. If that dont fix it you will have to re-solder the light socket circuit board connections.

Sounds good Bill, nothing too above and beyond some of the more difficult ones. I will give it a shot eventually here in the coming weeks.

Rock n Roll, well I will be darned, a Fisher RS-1060, been over a year since the last one surfaced. I can understand a high shipping cost, it weighs a ton! It is also wide and deep which makes for a big box. Its well worth $100 plus whatever shipping. If I had room I would buy this one too.
