I think this ad was on here, or at least referenced a couple of years ago.

Thought some newer Marantz folks...and younger crowd, might enjoy it.

I remember seeing it back in the 70s...in fact, what made me think of it was looking through a 1974 FMGuide Magazine today...and there was that sorry looking 2270 looking back at me.:yikes:

Anyway...for those who have seen it...and those who have not and will be amazed at the build quality of the Marantz gear.

Enjoy:

I remember seeing that add as a 12 year old kid...honestly that add kicked off the whole Marantz thing for me back then..... wishing - if only I could have the burnt 2270, I would be happy.... then a year or so later seeing the 4400 for the first time in the stores.... WOW that was truly space age...... The knock out punch was Seeing and Hearing a Model 500 powering a set of OHM Fs.....I still can remember hearing the 500 & Fs for the first time as kid.

All of these units finally ended up in my collection.... I also met the designer of the Ohm F's..... Older guy from Brooklyn where Ohm is still located....what cool stories from him.... He knew Saul Marantz who was from Long Island.....

I can't tell you how much of a Deja vu experience it was to meet that guy...He has a very early 10b and 7c powering a Carver amp which leads to a set of Ohm Fs of course. If only Saul Marantz was still kicking around...

Time marches on .... But some products are simply "High Water Marks" that will live on......this is what happens when the right people are in the right place at the right time....and make the right things happen.
