The whole truly is greater than the sum of its parts...

That was great. Always loved Diamond Dave. But you know he would have been booted off "Idol" in the auditions lol

That was interesting.

Does it make you appreciate him more or less ??

I'd say a little more.

That's what I sound like with my headphones on. 'Cept I don't have one of those whistle gizmos.

Awesome singer.

It's always funny to hear a solo'd vocal track. He sounds good. I've heard some where the singer sounds decent in the mix, hit the solo button and they sound like ass.

I thought it sounded pretty damn cool.

Say what you want, but NOBODY epitomized a hard rock band like VH did, and DLR was what every guy wanted to be. Did he have the best voice..? No, Freddie Mercury beats him with a head cold, but Roth had the look, good enough pipes, and the personality/presence of a rock god. I would've killed to live his life for one month!

That's probably true, but imagine the smile on my face...!

That was amusing but I thought he sounded fine.

When multitracking, solo'd tracks sound quite awkward by themselves.

And like the posters had mentioned, it sounds great as a whole.

Reminds me of the Linda McCartney vocal tracks that were going around a long time ago. Hers were much worse. I kind of like Dave's though. He does live his life like there's no tomorrow. Great scream too!

So weird hearing it out of context!

I can't come close to being any better than him, so I'll just humbly button my lip.

I wouldn't change him at all though. He's right, just the way he is.
